Everything you might want to know about using SpotNexa — from booking a parking spot to refunds, EV charging, monthly passes, and rewards.

General

What is SpotNexa?
SpotNexa is India's smartest urban mobility platform — one app for booking parking, EV charging, monthly passes, and event parking. Real-time availability, QR-based entry, Razorpay payments, and SNX rewards on every booking.
Which cities is SpotNexa available in?
We are launching in Ahmedabad in 2026 with a network of verified parking lots, EV stations, and event venues. Expansion to other Indian cities is planned phase by phase based on demand.
How do I download the app?
Download SpotNexa free from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store at launch. The store links go live on launch day. Until then, you can register your interest on the home page.
Is the app free to use?
Yes. Downloading and using SpotNexa is free. You only pay for the services you book — parking, EV charging, or event parking — at the rates shown at checkout.

Parking

How do I book a parking spot?
Open the app, search by destination or "near me", pick a lot, choose your time window, and pay. You get a QR pass for entry and exit. It is that simple.
Can I extend my booking on the go?
Yes. From "My Bookings" you can extend the time window if the venue still has capacity. Overstay without an extension may incur an overstay charge per the venue's rules.
What is a monthly pass?
A monthly pass gives you regular access to a chosen lot at a discounted rate. We support daily, weekly, monthly, and student passes. Passes are refundable within 24 hours of purchase if you have not checked in even once — see our Refund Policy.
How do walk-ins work?
If you walk up to a participating lot without a pre-booking, staff can register your vehicle on the spot. Walk-in rates may be slightly higher than pre-booked rates as set by the venue operator.

EV Charging

What types of chargers does SpotNexa support?
AC Slow, AC Fast, DC Fast, and DC Ultra-fast chargers, in both Type 2 and CCS2 standards. Filter the map by connector type and minimum power output to find the right station.
How is EV charging billed?
EV charging is metered per kWh. At booking we hold a pre-authorisation for the estimated session amount. At session end we capture only the actual amount based on energy delivered. Any unused pre-auth is auto-refunded within ~5 minutes.
Are there idle fees?
Yes, to discourage occupying a charger after your vehicle is full. The exact rate is shown at booking and depends on the station. Typical idle fees are ₹5/min if a queue is waiting and ₹2/min otherwise.
What if the charger malfunctions mid-session?
You get a full refund and the incident is logged for safety investigation. Report the malfunction in-app or write to contact@spotnexa.com.

Event Parking

Can I pre-book parking for an event?
Yes. Browse upcoming events on the home tab or search by venue. Choose a zone, see the flat or hourly rate, and book ahead. Your QR pass lets staff direct you to the right zone on event day.
What happens if the event is cancelled?
If the organiser cancels the event, every confirmed booker receives an automatic 100% refund. No action needed.
Can I cancel my own event-parking booking?
Yes, with a tiered refund: free more than 24 hours before event start, 90% if 6–24 hours before, 75% if less than 6 hours, and non-refundable after event start. Details in our Cancellation Policy.

Payments

How do payments work?
Securely via Razorpay. We support UPI, credit and debit cards, and net banking. SpotNexa does not store your card number or CVV — every checkout is a fresh, PCI-compliant transaction.
Do you accept cash?
Cash is accepted only at participating walk-in locations operated by staff with a SpotNexa terminal. You always get a digital receipt for cash payments.
What taxes apply?
GST at 18% for parking and event parking (SAC 996812) and 5% for EV charging (SAC 998631). Prices at checkout are tax-inclusive and the full breakup appears on every invoice.
Do I get a GST invoice?
Yes. A tax invoice is generated automatically for every paid booking and is available under "Receipts" in the app. For corporate bookings you can add your company GSTIN in account settings.

Refunds & Cancellations

Can I cancel a parking booking?
Yes. The refund slab is: more than 24 hours before slot start = 100%, 12–24 hours = 90%, 6–12 hours = 75%, 2–6 hours = 50%, less than 2 hours = non-refundable. See our Refund Policy.
How long does a refund take to reach me?
Razorpay normal-speed refunds. UPI typically clears in 24–48 hours; cards and net banking in 5–7 business days. Refunds always return to the original payment method.
What if I see a duplicate charge?
Write to contact@spotnexa.com with the transaction reference and we will investigate within 3 business days.

SNX & Green Credits

What are SNX Tokens?
Reward currency you earn on parking and event bookings, referrals, and streaks. 10 SNX = ₹1 discount. Redeem up to 50 SNX (₹5) per checkout. SNX are earned only and have no cash value.
What are Green Credits?
EV-only rewards. You earn 2 points per kWh charged — 4× during green hours (10:00–16:00 IST). 10 points = ₹1. Redeem up to 50% of an EV session bill. Also unlocks eco-badges as you reach milestones.
Do rewards expire?
SNX Tokens currently have no expiry cap, but we may revise this with notice. Rewards earned on a refunded transaction are reversed automatically.

For Property Owners

How do I list my parking space?
Download the app → Profile → "List Your Service" → add property details, photos, pricing, and operating hours. Basic onboarding happens on the app; advanced configuration (zones, multiple staff, pass templates) is on the web dashboard.
Can I list an EV charging station?
Yes. EV listings require additional documents — DISCOM approval, electrical safety certificate, fire NOC, calibration record, and public liability insurance. The onboarding wizard walks you through what to upload.
How do payouts work?
Settlements are calculated on a defined cycle (typically weekly), net of platform commission, TDS, and any applicable charges. Payouts go directly to your registered bank account with a full statement and downloadable settlement report.

Account & Security

Is my data secure?
Yes. OTP-only authentication (no password to leak), Razorpay-handled payments with no card numbers stored, HTTPS everywhere, role-based access for staff and admins, encrypted backups, and audit trails for sensitive operations. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
How do I change my phone number?
Open the app → Profile → Edit Number → verify the new number with an OTP. Your booking history, wallet, and loyalty balances move with you.
How do I delete my account?
Email contact@spotnexa.com from your registered address. We will close the account within a reasonable period, retaining only the data we are legally required to keep (for example financial records for 6 years under GST law).
I think someone else accessed my account. What now?
Sign out from all sessions in the app, change your registered phone if it has been compromised, and write to contact@spotnexa.com immediately. We will investigate and lock the account where needed.
